MY JOURNEY TO BEING A VIRTUAL ASSISTANT

THE REASON FOR MY BEING

about virtual assistant mariEntering the world of virtual assistance is a tough journey I will never forget. It was a struggle. I’ve been in the corporate world for more than 7 years and the skills I have offline is way different from the skills mostly needed online. It was demotivating and discouraging. I almost gave up — but I didn’t. I needed this. I’m a mom of two fully dependent kids and a wife who wants to contribute actively to the family’s income. I needed to start again from scratch. With countless hours of training, courses, research, and building work portfolios, I landed my first client, a very dedicated Shiatsu Therapist. It was life-changing. From then on, virtuall-ing has become my bread and butter.. and now, my passion.

WORK ETHICS

I’m proud to call myself a General Virtual Assistant, an all-rounder VA fairly equipped with technical, marketing and creative skills to help professionals, business owners, and creatives take those steps toward working smarter, not harder. My ethos is to provide value and will only assure results that are within my capacity.

GOING FORWARD

This website I created is intended to showcase my skills, house some of my work samples, be a go-to website for online business resources and a platform to inspire and help SAHMs become WAHMs. Everything in here (from development to design to content) is a result of my hard work and commitment to the profession I chose while breastfeeding my 1-year old baby and a career I built right beside my playing 3-yr old toddler.
